Twenty years ago, a small group of enterprising Nelsonians realised that although the region had a plethora of talented artists worth boasting about, there existed no brag book with which to do it. ‘We’ll remedy that’, they thought, and the Nelson Arts Guide was born.

Since then, the Guide has adorned car seats and coffee tables from Nelson to Golden Bay. It has been the inspiration for countless day trips and weekend explorations, quietly revealing the pastoral nooks and coastal crannies our talented artisans are inspired by.

This 20 year commemorative issue showcases over a hundred of the province’s artists and craftspeople, as well as many of its finest wineries, cafés and cultural entities. It is the perfect companion for all those who appreciate art, enjoy local cuisine and love pleasant surprises.
